Farley’s Angels was founded in December 2015 by bassist and bandleader Farley and his Angels: Candace, Andromeda and Shirley Magic. The band plays a mix of originals and covers in many styles and languages. The multi-talented Angels are proficient on many instruments and the band features lead vocals from all four members.
The band has been performing at many venues and small festivals around Hong Kong for over three years, and in 2018 released their EP “First Originals” by produced by Lamma Studios, featuring originals written by Farley Sangels and Andromeda. Andromeda’s song “Blues for Modern Life” was also the music for a music video by Josh Tam and features picturesque views of the iconic Hong Kong skyline.
While the band is named after Farley, the real focus of the the group is on the multi-talented Angels. As local Hong Kong raised young women, their talent and creativity is an inspiration to the young people who see the band perform.
The members of Farley’s Angels:
Farley: the founder of the band, bassist, vocalist and occasional trumpeter, Farley had the brilliant idea in 2015 to assemble a band of talented and beautiful Angels to play with.
The Angels:
Candace: a multi-talented performer and Hong Kong early childhood music educator, Candace sings in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English and also plays percussion and cajon in the band.
Shirley Magic: a classically trained diva and opera coach, Shirley Magic is a powerhouse of musical energy with a surprisingly big voice for such a petite frame, and is the band’s primary keyboardist and second percussionist.
Andromeda: is the dreamer of the band, a composer, environmentalist, she sings in English and French and plays ukulele, keyboards and percussion.
