AcouFunkture is a Hong Kong based acoustic band dedicated to high quality creative musical entertainment, audience connection and all around funky adventure.
A product of almost a decade of late nights on the jamming scene in the music clubs of Hong Kong, AcouFunkture brings together a variety of musicians from backgrounds as diverse as flamenco, jazz, Indian classical, rock and classical music. The ever expanding roster of AcouFunkture includes some of Hong Kong’s best and most flexible musicians.
The band takes the best parts of our musical diversity and combines them in a harmonious and ingenious way. The end result is a unique sound that is funky, creative and entertaining to festivals, music clubs and events.
AcouFunkture’s performances are much more than music. The band combines our unique sound with comedy, theatrics and audience interaction to create an experience that is great fun for audience and performers- entertaining, engaging and lighthearted.
AcouFunkture is a perfect choice for events where an entertaining and approachable group is required, such as children’s and community events. Led by singer and multi-instrumental whiz Richard Kimber, the group loves to connect with and interact with the audience.
After releasing two debut EPs, “Funktuality” and “Momentum” , AcouFunkture has expanded into original music while still maintaining a repertoire of popular favourites with our unique acoustic funk sound.
